I'd be more than happy if I could get my macros as good as these

Great colours, I really like no.3.
It will no doubt become your fav lens, I would never part with mine.
Bees are tough little beggers to snap at the best of times, so well done.

A good job you can count the pollen grains on the bee, if that is your first attempt I can't wait to see your second. I love my macro lens if nothing else it teaches you to really look at things.

Oh wow lovely, certainly the bee shots where you use the leaves as a coloured background, the yellow and orange-red works well together

I did exactly the same when I first got my camera, probably why I have racked up about 20ks worth of shots in a year.first attempt i say but i took about 400 pictures in that hour. i think these 2 are the only keepers!
Hopefully I can take it easier on my next body.

I think that too... less beer, more exercise, no kneeling in the mud. I wonder if the titanium in my knee will affect the trade in value...

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Kris, it's not about a beer. I remember that when I was a student I could drink beer, eat large pizzas, drink 2x2l Pepsi a day and I was OK, fit and happy. I cannot do that now, I'm afraid.Mike-P wrote:

Back on topic - the bee on the flower is superb, sharp and 3D I tried to make a picture of a bee couple of times last year (with Fuji, before I've got Pentax) - but they always flew away or tried to convince me to retreat in a threatening way
Kind regards,

All were taken hand-held and with no flash. I probably need to invest in a flash to get better pictures but that will come with time I guess. I also have much to learn....
