I love the first shot. Love the sharpness and motion you captured. The last shot also good could have been bit sharper though. Good set

Thanks Emma,
Yep agree with sharpness, to be honest I'm having probs with sharpness (me not the camera)struggling a bit with light also had some good shots of the pit garages but they were too dark. Practice Practice

With Ems on this one. Particularly like no.1 Fiendishly difficult to get this sort of thing right.
Well done.

Nice crisp images but a bit too much going on in the backgroud IMHO. Suppose bit hard to get them any other way really.

No.1 is a nice crop.
The trick (which I have yet to master) is to experiment with shutter speeds and practice your panning technique. Something around 1/60th of a second will blur the background nicely - but subject sharpness will all be down to how good your panning is.

#1 for me as well also #4 is nicely sharp, just ain't so happy that the helmed isn't fully in the frame with the first shot.

#4 for me - nice shot! I think it just needs a touch more contrast - the tarmac and grass are a little washed out) and unsharp mask filter just before you upload, just to correct the softening that happens when you resize the image. (Say 300% at 0.2 pixels radius or whatever looks best).

Thanks all, appreciate your comments. Agree with all the sharpness comments, hopefully I will get better with the camera. Need to start messing with the extra shooting features built in to the KX (custom modes i.e. sharpness/contrast ect)
Don’t have Photoshop or anything although I do have the Pentax Utility 4 s/w so will see what post editing is achievable with that.
Also need to learn more about low-ish light, had problems with taking pictures inside garages. The results were very dark and when in “auto scene” mode the camera needed the flash but there was no need for flash really. Need to look at the exif of the pics I have from Saturday.
Will be at Brands next week for the Britcar so hopefully I will hopefully manage some improvement with low-ish light shots.
Cheers
