You can use your card reader with no problems. make sure the card is formatted in the camera first.
Oh and it is an *ist Dl not *1st Dl

Just be sure that when you download the file onto the camera, you have new or fresh batteries. If the camera turns off during the process, then it's an expensive mistake....

have downloaded file from pentax to upgrade my camara pentax slr 1st dl so i can use a higher spec memory cared ie ultra 11 4 gb sdhc sandisk. have lost my usb cable can i use my card reader to download file onto my memory card via card reader then activate in the camara or do i have to buy another use cable.
appreciate a speedy response as am going on hols sunday 24 and was thinking of buying new cared in duty free tks Bill
