To a k5ii! Much deliberation went into whether to stretch to the k3 but ultimately I concluded that it was better to save some on the body and buy glass, so I am now the proud owner of a k5ii and a da35 f2.4. So far I couldn't be happier with both. The SAFOX X focusing system is magic, it locks quickly and with very little fus even in near darkness.

I loved my k10, but the k5ii is like night and day.

In a related matter, if anyone is looking for an astro lens, I happen to know that Chris@SRS has just come into possession of a very fine Tamron 300 f2.8.

I still like to use my K10 every so often, I think its the best body design, especially with the grip attached
The II and the 35 2.4 sound like the perfect combination. I recently deliberated between the 35 and the 50 1.8, for me the 50 won out but I'm sure I'll end up with the 35 soon
Look forward to seeing some shots from you soon
One day you'll find, 10yrs have got behind you.

I've got an fa 50 1.4 so didn't need the da 1.8, I would have been tempted otherwise. I know what you mean aboutthe k10 ergonomics but I'm already falling in love with the way the k5 sits in my hand and the 35 is a dream of a lens, seems to be pin sharp from wide open.

Can't wait to put it through its paces properly and post some results.
