Figs first flush

I've been playing around with the Takumar 58mm f2.4 lens on the K1 MkII over the last few days and I have to admit to myself that it really isn't what I was expecting - I've always accepted that the older lenses have character and that they could be quite sharp when stopped down a few stops but this lens has illustrated just how much of both some of them can have. I'm not saying that this lens can match up to the the current DFA*50/1.4 for overall sharpness or IQ, but it really is a testament to the lens designers of the past.

Hope you enjoy them (better viewed at the bigger size) and hope you re-explore your own vintage lenses (Davidwozhere excluded because he's way ahead of me )

Lovely Lenny especially the last sometimes we don’t need the Latest and greatest Just use what we have and enjoy it 🙂
