Faulty K10D - £150!

This was going to be our 'project' camera, but we never got round to it.

When we 1st got it, it wouldn't autofocus, and the aperture settings had a mind of their own. After downloading the service manuals Fiona managed to strip it down and quite easily managed to repair the autofocus by putting the switch back in properly, and it has focussed perfectly fine since!

Since the autofocus repair, the aperture problems have very rarely happened (sometimes it would stick wide open, and 'play up') which we are putting down to a spring coming unstuck whilst it was apart and a good clean, but presume that it may occasionally crop up again in the future. Each time this happened turning off then on again, or removing and replacing the lens would sort it out

It's been left alone for probably over a year without being used, and came out recently as I needed a camera to take the comparison shots of my new lens, which hopefully this will help pay for (first 8 shots here)! The only issue I had was that the flashgun didn't go off every time, which appears to be dirty contacts.

The overall condition, considering, is very good. The issues to note are a chipped corner (photo 4) on the base plate, and the focusing screen is slightly marked. Included are a 3rd party battery and a body cap and that's it! No charger, no box, just what you see here! Hence:-
