I doubt that there is anybody here that can make any constructive comment about the repair of camera that has been dropped.
Pentax will o a free of charge inspection and estimate for the repair but I suspect that it'll not be worth the expense.
I'd buy a new camera and don't let your GF use it.

New camera I'm afraid.
They're so cheap nowadays it's not worth having them repaired, unless you can do it yourself.
Check here for reasonable refurbs, I got my Optio E50 from them without any hassle.

The lens is half open so when you turn it on it clicks, moves a bit then shuts down again? I can see something inside the lens not sure what it is but looks like something has moved and is jamming the lens from opening fully. Is this something that could be fixed easily or is it just worth buying a new camera??
Any info would be great
