Went on a trip with the camera club.

Disappointingly only had an hour on Inner Farne. Next year if they do the same trip, I'll give it a miss, in favour of an all day trip which gives about 2 hours on Staple Island AM, then 2 hours Inner Farne PM.

Anyway, I stil managed a few keepers. Puffins with the Sigma 150-500. Others with the Pentax 50-135

Excellent set Alan ! Love the puffin shots - all very interesting. That is some amazing flare in #1 - pity the sun lit the bird so strongly because the framing and subject were spot on. #! & 2 and the puffin portrait stand out for me.

Puffin portrait and kittiwake chick are outstanding Alan. That's a very good result from just one hour of shooting.

Thanks for the comments folks.

David/Algi, an hour isn't long at all. I found myself almost running from one place to another on the island.

Last year on the all day, was completely different. My arms were killing me but much preferred

I normally spend at leas an hour before I get any shots in our local area - granted its not the same place but to get those shots all in the one hour is all the more impressive
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.
