Falkirk area.

Are there any Pentax get together groups in the Falkirk area.

I've only been a member since late last year i think it was but i've not heard of any meetings. I live in Armadale which is only around 7-8 miles away and time permitting would be happy to meet some like minded Pentaxians (Only to steal there knowledge). I'm a beginner so it would be good to get tips and advice / ideas. Also something to do as i work to hard and don't often get to play. I got along to the local camera club once, they meet on a Tue or Wed evening, but was working away for a few months so gave up on the idea for now.

If it is raining, a pub crawl could be possible !

Hi guys, in my opinion any more than one could constitute a meet I mysel live in Larbert and could meet up.

Weekends or evenings only for me, as i would expect for most people. Could we start with a coffee shop crawl. I'm not much of a pub person and would need to drive to get to Falkirk.

As they say three's a crowd and if a crowd turn up then i would class it as a meet.

Never done a meet before so how does it all work? Do we meet to chat? Do we meet at a photo op? Do we do both? I had a CB when i was alot yonger and did a few eyeballs (CB Meet) must be the same but not shooting took place

What about Callander House, coffee shop nearby, plenty of free parking and a variety of photo oppertunities.

Could take a few lenses for each to try out, I have 10mm to 600mm available

Is that the big house in Callander park? Shot fireworks last year there. Sounds like the start of a plan. I don't have much to offer i'm afraid. Only the 18-55 DAL and 50-200 DAL and an A 50 f2. I also have a Tokina SD II 70-210 MF a friend has lent me.

The 50-200 DAL is a good lens, spoken of highly in this forum.

Setting a date is always an issue. Give me at least a weeks notice is poss.

I'm happy to come up to Falkirk. Saturdays are out at the moment (at least before about 3pm).

I have seen deer in Callender Park before now (in the woods) and it's a nice walk up there.

I'm sure we could attract a couple of the Glaswegians too....

I'm affraid weekends are out for me just to darn busy.I am free most afternoons through the week or evenings Monday to Friday.

I could prob make an evening. I don't finish work till 17:00 so not sure how much evening I'd have left. I work just outside Glasgow so I'm not to far to get to Falkirk , but almost need to drive back past my house to get there.
