Faded beauty.

Absolutely stunning! Initially, being the writer I am, I began to draw comparisons to life, love, loss and so on, the pictures to me are that strong. Thought that a tad over the top for this site so have kept it short and merely alluded. See initial sentence, sums it up nicely.

Thanks to you both for your comments. Glad they stirred up the emotions. I love the structure and individuality of decaying flowers.

Strangely I'm beginning to realise the hidden beauty in decaying flowers. Normally photos in this subject didn't spark any real interest, but it's changed and surprised me.
My recent shots of the Darter dragon fly had more dead foxglove than Darter due to not using a macro lens, and I was strangely drawn to the decaying plant as much as the insect!
These are truly great pictures, well done.

Flowers decay in so many different ways. It seems that they become individuals as they die. I love that individuality. Glad to have prompted an interest in them.
