FA35 price
I suppose you only get what you pay for. Think of it as a safe investment that will only go up in value over the years as the masses realise that with esoteric prices, they must be the best.
Best regards

At that price it is my second most valuable lens now (after the 60-250 - for which I also paid rather less than the current price)

I bought mine for about £250 new a few years ago. I suspect these are a small number of unsold stock from the back of a warehouse somewhere, as it is not on the Pentax roadmap. I doubt it is production any more.

I too bought mine at about that price, around when the FA50 was going for £150 (still kicking myself for not buying that one!).
I guess it could be unsold stock, looks like quite a markup if it is.
I shall have to look after mine even more carefully now
I think all of the lenses I have are 'in profit' at present, this one by the biggest margin tho ! Not for sale thought, I always have it with me for shooting landscapes, I find the colour and sharpness excellent - still fancy an FA31 one day if I can spare the cash !!

Mine is deffo my most used lens, no question... UV filter is always on (unless I swap out for cpl or nd) but I've lost the little plastic 'filter-bit-cover' on the lens hood somewhere... It'll probably cast £50+ to replace at these prices!!!

You can have mine for £50 (the little plastic bit that is)

I got my F50 s/h for a profit some years ago - it came with a 'job lot' and I made more selling the bits I didn't want than I paid for the job lot

not been here for quite a while, although was frequent contributor a couple of years ago.
Looking at lens prices after a quick read about the new DA560 and was utterly stunned to see the price of the FA35/2 in FA Ltd territory, WHAAAT!!!, my mrs jumped and nearly fell off the sofa, looked at me and asked what was wrong.
It's a good lens, a poor man's FA31, but not anymore at £690 park cameras, £619 at srs.
What's going on - the ricoh effect ?
