FA35 'vs' DA40 Ltd

I have the FA35 and love it for it's quality & sharpness. At first I did a lot with the DOF effects that f2 allows but less so now although it's nice to know I have that possibility. At the weekend we went to a local camera firms 'show' as a Pentax stand / rep was there & for the first time saw the size of the DA40 Ltd. Wow, on my k-x that would make it 'pocketable' in big coat pockets and I seem to recall it being well rated. So, the possibility of selling my FA35 and getting the DA40 is playing on the back of my mind. SRS have the 40 at £289 which isn't that much more than I paid for the FA35 but things have moved on since then. So, I guess 3 questions: - what do people feel quality wise between the lenses? - now that the DA35 is available what do people think I might get for the FA35? - ultimately , would you make the change.

The DA40 is full frame, one of the few DA's that are, just without an aperture ring.

Well from what I heard it is fullframe compactible to the point that you don't see image circle, but it vignetes heavily as well as DA70....so fullframe compatibility is questionable. I think Pentax announces only DA60-250, DA200 and DA300 as real fullframe lenses. But I haven't tried any DA lens on film myself, so I may be wrong....

I have never had problems with the DA on film body (MZ5 and 6)' but i may not be the most critical....
