I'm A MAC user myself, but came across this freeware if someone's interested in editing the EXIF data on a PC:

Photome is very useful. Lightroom allows metadata editing of course.
Some sites, like Facebook strip out metadata.

Thanks everyone for clarifying this.I just wondered why some of the images had no data. Can't really see any reason to go to the bother of removing it.

This forum removes exit data too, except in the Gallery

It stays intact as long as the file size isn't too large.

it won't strip out EXIF from images hosted elsewhere of course.

If there is no exif info disclosed in an image displayed in the gallery, how does one know it was taken with a Pentax camera?
