Nice set
The spider is Tetragnatha sp., a stretch spider
No idea on the fly, other than perhaps a type of snipe fly?
The mayfly is one the Ephemera sp. probably Ephemera danica the green drake mayfly

Again, thank you everyone for your kind remarks.
Especially to Neil for your identity guidance.
I had the fly down as a robber fly - is that the same as a snipe fly?
I've seen the spider before, read somewhere that it usually settles along a leaf vein with its front & back pairs of legs stretched out, to camouflage itself whilst waiting for prey......
It's all out there, for everyone, all we have to do is look & notice!
Thanks for the interest,
Roger.

Yes, looks like a Robber Fly to me too.
This space deliberately left blank.

No. 3 gives me an idea - get an insect to land on sticky tape and you can focus at your leisure! Maybe the low-tack sort to be kind.

Now, now, Robert.
That really would be cheating!
Likely to leave bits of leg behind, too!
Roger.

Latest......
I am reliably informed that the fly is, indeed, a snipe fly, Rhagio tringarius, Gold Star to Neil P!
The mayfly is Ephemera danica.
So there, now we all know!

Spider!
Fly!
A Mayfly that ventured into the conservatory & settled on...........the sellotape dispenser!
Then lured onto a sheet of black card.
Any thoughts most welcome & thanks for looking!
Roger.
