Thanks everyone. So glad the pictures struck a chord with you.
As Gareth correctly pointed out: 98% North Wales (God's Country) in perfect weather and two percent Pentax and I. Going back there over Whitsun. Just wish it wasn't so far away, but we can get to Gareth's patch in about an hour!
Imagine the last one looking like Australia!
I loved using that simple, bright, uncomplicated lens and really liked the one view it gave. You do get to anticipate what you'll see after using it for a while.
I have some monochrome images being lined-up...

Yes, sorry, Bret.
We stayed in athe village of Minfordd which is about a mile from Port Madoc. The estuary pictured lies between the two places and is bridged by a causeway along which a road has been laid and, more famously, the opening length of the Ffestiniog Railway.
We went largely because my son, William is a member of the railway and they were holding a members' weekend with lots of special workings and vintage trains, double heading etc.
Please ask if you need more precise information.

no, that's almost what I'd figured, I just wasn't sure.
We spent quite a lot of time in and around Aberaeron / Aberystwyth / Aberteifi when I was a kid and more time in up north when I was a teenager (Cader a couple of times and various other hills, but not yet Snowdon).
Shame I won't have any time when I'm in the UK in the summer to go to Wales.

I prefer 4 over 5 as the sand looks more pristine. The composition works better for me too, you've done very well filling up any dead space. I had looked at 4 at several times before I even noticed the man and dog, so I'm not sure they are even necessary!
I like the tranquility in number 6, plus the sandbar and the colours in the water. Wish the boat stood out a bit more, pity it didn't have a white sail!
