Arriving at Whitby just after 12:30 we had difficulty parking as it was very busy! The weather had already started to change so nothing new there for NYE at Whitby.

Very windy up near the abbey with gusts exceeding 35mph.

So a few shots to mark the event.

Thouroughly enjoyed the few hours there.

Then it was time to head back home to prepare for the year end and see the new one in.

Best wishes and regards

Love these Gary. It looks busy but not as bad as at the Goths. There's some wonderful atmospheric light in the sea scenes. I assume some of these were on a tripod, try setting one up during Goths time!!!

Thanks David, the second shot was on a tripod all others hand held. Last year it was not as busy on NYE. Maybe the better afternoon weather changed some minds?

Best regards

I like the B&Ws, best thing you can do for an image when the lights poor. The last two stand out way ahead of the others.

You can easily tell it's not Goth weekend, there isn't a group of Pentax Users taking over the top floor of Marie Antoinettes
