Eling - Southampton

Got my first DA* off Ebay and took it out while I was back in the UK for a few days. I must admit I do ver little in the way of wide(ish)shots .. infact I could probably count them all on both hands but this lens really makes me want to try more.

C&C welcome as I am a complete novice where this stuff is concerned so a few pointers are always handy.

You should do more of these , you seem to have a natural gift and a great eye for it . Well done

Nice composiotions Mike but they all look very dark to me. I can see no shadow detail at all. Was that intentional?

I really struggle with the processing side so as I said, am always up for advice. I seem to like my pictures quite dark and moody but I always wonder if other just think they are just not bright enough.
The one in my gallery was processed before this (I did it again after putting it on there) and the comment there was that perhaps it could do with a bit more contrast which I did agree with.

In #3 I don’t think the level of light you have matches the lack of cloud and so amount of sunlight there would have been. It makes the shot artificial if you know what I mean.

I like them all... especially the ones where the Sky has coloured the trees blue
We never see that Up North!!
