Great photos.
Surely the first one is super, she is just great like you said and I really like the second and fourth for their feeling.
The ones with the girl(s) aren't doing much for me, there is little going on there compared to your other photos.

Love number 1 the image has a lot of presence and the distortion really focuses you attention on the subject.
Numbers 2 & 3 are also well executed although I have a personal hangup about close up shots of white face powder, all those gaps & streaks. But that's just personal taste. That aside great eye contact from both subject, pin sharp and number 3 great hair colour.
Not quite sure about 4 & 5 I like the humour in no 4 and the composition works well but not the same impact as 1,2 & 3. I agree with Stefan over no 5.
You have to take all these comments in the light that most of my pictures don't actually have people in them.

Though I liked them all, I think the Magicians is my favorite. Works very well with sepia.

I haven't been taking a lot of photographs recently, for one reason or another.
I did feel I had a good day on Saturday on the 'Royal Mile'. I tried to take my time, and compose each shot, rather than go for the 'machine gun' approach.
I had the Sigma 105, ( thanks to Dan for the recommendation ), on the K7 most of the time as I was after portrait style shots, but did whip out the 'fishy' a few times.

Nice set! Very sharp, and some great characters there. I like the girls in the last one but the background doesn't look quite right (too smooth IMO). You've also missed a few bits in PP, especially around the redhead.

So everyone was out on the 'Royal Mile' trying to capture the punters.
Lots and lots of photo opportunities.
This girl was stunning, I could have photographed her all day !!!
Not so scary when you speak to him, sound guy.
Loved the look, Red hair and Stockings too !!!
Magicians - Victorian style, so it had to be 'sepia'
