Cute little fellow. I guess they have a natural ability to deal with infection caused by the ticks. Owning two dogs I have a real dislike for ticks, nasty little creatures.

When we were in NSW we were lucky to see one but only managed to get a photo of its rear end as it disappeared into long grass!

we came across this one in a wildlife reserve near Canberra, looks like he is carrying a few tics.
a lovely little beast but very timid and curls into a ball for defense.
