Is this seller connected with the Pentax User club/magazine/forum?

I ordered A *IST-D screen from them, a month ago. The transaction went well and smooth, but I didn't have the impression they were in any way connected to/ or involved with this forum.
They do a lot of spare parts, genuine pentax etc...

HIH,
Martin.
Best regards,

Martin.

I've not yet received the lens I won from them on 27 Feb, or a reply to my question about it sent yesterday morning.

I won a teleconverter on 17th Feb it has not arrived yet. howerver i have had slow replies to messages sent explaining a problem with his carrier. I'm told the last attempt at dispatch was yesterday. No delivery so far today. I also don't think the seller is connected to this Forum.

Thanks for that Barrie.

I'm not terribly bothered as long as I get the item within a week or so (hopefully a replacement is available if mine has got lost). It's just not nice not being informed of what's going on from the seller.

Hi,

Check out this sellers feedback...it might be 99%, but they have 17 neutrals and 13 negatives in the last 12 months. In comparison, I have far more feedback with a big fat zero of neuts & negs in the last 12 months. Just assuming a 99% positive score means a seller is 'good' is often mis-leading.

Use this site (link below) to check ALL a sellers neuts & negs...seeing them all along side each other reveals any worrying patterns....

(This site may load slowly)

If my memory is correct, I think this is the same seller who used to charge sky high rip-off p+p charges...eg lens caps at 0.99 start price with £5-6 p+p...so as to avoid ebay FVF fees by loading the price on the postage. I see he now loads the price on the item....I guess buyers complained.

cheers Steve.M.

I have been watching this seller for almost a year now. S/he had a different ebay name a year ago (something female, I forget exactly what), and not very good ratings. S/he then changed to "Pentaxuseruk" and for a while had been snapping up bundled sets of stuff (the ME Super + lenses + tripod + bag type thing) then re-selling in bits (nothing particularly wrong with that) as "buy it now" for quite inflated prices (less good). I lost a few auctions to him/her only to see the item I wanted relisted a few days later at three times the price. Something about the way s/he traded along with bad ratings set little alarm bells ringing and I have never purchased anything from him/her. I did mention this seller in a past thread.

Hope you all manage to get your problems resolved.

Pleased to say my item arrived this morning, well packed, working and as described. The only issue would be the long delivery. Paid £149 for Kenko 1.5x teleconverter that workes with SDM. Have i paid too much? Don't know first it's the first one i had seen.
