Agreed, but I think you have some sensor dust? something shows on no 7, left hand side opposite second plane down.

Ray, all four of your Red Arrows shots are 'winners' in my view, they're very good and engaging images. The last one is a superb shot. I hope it's not a tight crop and that you've lost pixels and resolution 'cos this one deserves to be printed up large.
In regard to your Eastbourne shots, #'s 3 and 4 are well executed images. They're nicely spotted and composed.

All four of the Arrows shots were taken with my Sigma 170-500m. There is no cropping at all in number 4, and minor crops in the other 3 just to give the subject more prominence. I've only got a DLII, so any bigger than A4 is not really an option. The third and fourth Red Arrows shots are terrific. I also love your black and white picture of the lobster pots.

PS Is the DL11 6mp? If so forget what you read in the photo mags. You CAN do classy A3 prints from 6mp cameras, ask anyone with a Pentax istDS or a Nikon D60.

It is, yes. I've always been told that 10mp is the minimum for A3 prints. I've got a friend with an A3 photoprinter (he's a Canonite, but a great chap!), he's going to have a go at printing that one for me. Thanks for the tip.PS Is the DL11 6mp? GREAT set of pics. All of them are fantastic.
I was at the airshow on the Sunday, and it wasn't that great. No Red Arrows being one of the reasons. And it was cloudy all day. Looks like you were there on the best day

The primary reason for being there was the airshow. I've seen the Red Arrows dozens of times on TV, but never in the steel, as it were. To say the planes are fast and the pilots brave, really does not do them justice. Simply amazing.
