Thanks! I've sent for a code and will download the software later ....I shoot DNG with the K7, is that likely to be ok?

There's a list of cameras supported in DXO9 here:

To use more recent cameras needs a newer version of DXO.

Ok thanks, there's a full range of Pentax DSLRs listed, the oldest being the K10D and K200D, right through to the K3, which is the latest model listed. The MX-1 and Ricoh GR are there also.

DxO 9 is currently available as a free download.
It is clearly outdated in terms of supporting profiles for recent body/lens profiles, but you can check compatibility online.
I have used it for a couple of years and love it.
