DSLR photography book recommendations ?

Anybody out there have any book recommendations for someone who has recently
rediscovered SLR photography after a number of years and is soon going to "complement"
a much loved Super A based system, with a K10D.

Looking for a good general guide that is not too technical,
but full of tips and tricks about how to obtain the best results from a DSLR.

A DSLR operates in much the same way as a modern film SLR, so what you really need is advice on how to make the best of digital images.

First, buy a fast computer with lots of storage. Then buy several large SD cards and a card reader. Then resolve to shoot only (or mainly) in RAW. Then buy a Silkypix RAW converter licence. Finally, get a good image editing program. If you are reluctant to make Adobe even richer, get Picture Window Pro.

Finally, download Irfanview. It's much the best way to view pictures, make simpe adjustments, do things like file name changes in batch mode, etc.

You'll also be relieved to know, having crippled your credit card, that Irfanview is free.
