Dominant blue in pictures?

As I'm continuing to learn more and more about shooting, I've seemingly encounted an oddity on my Pentax Kx. The settings are on normal, picture being set to "bright" or "normal" most of the time, the two having relatively little difference between them.

There seems to be a strong blue tint on most pictures. Especially on gray days/bright gray days. It's not a huge issue, as it can be corrected in lightroom, but I'd enjoy being able to shoot pictures as close to reality as possible, and then, if need be, give them treatments in lightroom.

At the moment, it's quite the opposite - I try to give them a more natural look after the shooting.

As for the situation, the sample picture was taken around 1pm, on a bright, gray afternoon. The blue one is "as shot". The one which I feel looks more natural, was given a "auto" treatment in lightroom. Nothing else was changed.

This may be quite an obvious issue, due to my own ignorance. I have however tried a few settings, and I'm pretty stumped at the moment, so any help would be welcome

Almost certainly the colour balance has been set incorrectly, it looks very much like you have selected Tungsten in the Fn/wb menu. If this is the case reset it to Auto.

It looks to me as if the white balance setting is off. What do you have it set to?

Well, it's fixed. Indeed, you were absolutely right. The WB was set under "tungsten light". I'm guessing I must have accidently switched to it during my fiddling with the camera on the first day.

Sorry, the question was probably quite ignorant, and despite reading and toying a lot with the camera, the WB menu is, astonishingly, somewhere I hadn't been since the first day. Probably because I always play around with the main menu.

In any case, thanks for the blindingly fast responses, you guy have been great help yet again. Hopefully I'll one day be able to help out other people as well

No such thing as a daft question.
I nearly always shoot in AWB I find it is usually how I prefer it and if shooting in RAW it can easily be changed in Post Proscessing

You might find that the 'main menu' is the one you tend to leave alone once you have tweaked the camera to your preferences and the Fn one is where you make more common adjustments.

Yeah, I found all the settings susceptible to change something were only slight changes, such as overexposing colors, or correcting under tungsten light. Nothing that would have fixed my tungsten settings, of course.
