DOI 2x Teleconverter on k100d

Hi There

I was given one of these manual DOI 2x teleconverters from a friend but can't get it to work on my Pentax k100d and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a copy of a data sheet that gives specific instructions on how to use it on my k100d?

I've heard there is one out there but just can't find it through Google.

If it's anything like mine, then if it fits, it will work, unless it's damaged.

Perhaps it's not a K-bayonet fit?

It's probably that you need to set the custom setting 'Allow use of aperture ring' or something like that. Set that to yes and the convertor should work.

You will run into problems if the lens you wish to use it with hasn't got an aperture ring though.

That's it! I'm guessing there's one there. If there wasn't (for instance on the majority of the 'Digital' lenses by Pentax), then the lens would be stuck on the smallest aperture all the time, which wouldn't be very helpful.
