Doha from low-level

I shot this recently on approach to Doha, from the jump-seat for those who are worried about who was driving, using the GR. It was Explored on Flickr, 13000+ views so far!

I'm loving this camera. If they came out with versions with different focal lengths, I could see myself with a set of GR's instead of an SLR.

It's a really stunning photo. I wouldn't buy a camera with a fixed 28mm equivalent lens as it's too wide for me, but I've seen plenty of evidence that it's capable of extremely good photos in the right hands.

Wow love the picture. Great colours. Stunning. Although I do have the feeling I'd like to see a tiny bit more of what is just off the bottom of the frame.

Me too. I'm loving the GR and if they did a normal and possibly even a short tele, I think I'd be all set for general photography.

Yes, me too.

Wing down, opposite rudder, ATC won't know, just ignore the screaming from behind the door...

The word stunning has already been used to describe this and I can't think of a better one. Its not only dramatic, its also a very beautiful image. Keep 'em coming Jon, you have access to a viewpoint which most of us can only dream of.

Thanks for the comments! I was very lucky to get this shot; we normally land from the other direction, not over the city, and most times I'm not in the jump-seat.

I've got a couple more which I still need to look at, been very busy recently, and my computer is sick (the fan has packed up). I've got 10 days off now, and hopefully my computer will be fixed in a few days.
