Ditch RAW+Jpeg bracteted for RAW alone?

Well its 6 files per shot (3 (bracket +/-/0) * 2(Raw and cooked)).

Change a POV 3 times(ish) + change the focus point 3 times(ish) + change to composition 3 times(ish) = 9

6*9=54 files avg(ish) 10M(ish) = 0.5GB a stop. (ISH)

16 stops 8GB.

Few more few less here and there.

Holiday mode being a memory miser I don't do half as much and sure allowing the camera to do it all and just shooting Jpeg/RAW, just one POV, one focus, one compostition, 8GB lasts forever.

I do also shoot film where my methods are somewhat different. A little less splatter.
Lurking is shirking.!

You must like PP with that lot to work through, and have a massive amount of disk space to store them all .

Why not just shoot RAW and forget the bracketing? You can do that on the computer.

Not much PP as the jpeg is a pretty good preview. PP the best RAW for a keeper.

So its bracketing or pause after each shot to view the histogram, not always possible. But as previous post, bracketing does affect the RAW and if you loose high/low you can't recover.

But hence the thread. Anyway looks like its horses for courses and a 1TB drive beckons.
