Direction & Quality of Light

I have read numerous photography books over the last 3 years to develop a better understanding and knowledge of photography but i just wanted to share one particular book that I think is worth every penny. The book is by a guy called Neil van Niekerk and is called "Direction & Quality of Light"

Anyway if you have not heard of the guy or his work, here is a link to his website. The one thing i really like about his books and info on his tangents page is that the info is easy to follow and understand and he talks about technique not gear.

I always watch out for "inspirational" books in charity shops etc but they are very thin on the ground.

I'm a big fan on the book by Michael Freeman, The Photographers Eye, a little deep in places but certainly makes you think about what you class as the non-technical aspects of photography....this one looks interesting too although it seems to be mainly for portrait photography?
