Deleted Account?

Hi all

I tried to log in this morning and found my account RayB has seemingly been deleted.

Can anyone shed any light, as it's nothing I've done at this end and I don't think I've broken any rules.

File a report to IT.

You are still there to send PMs to ...

Your account is active and in good order.

Still can't log in and the reminder service does not recognise either the username or e-mail address.

When I click on my username in a posting it comes back that the user is not active.

Any other ideas?

I would try logging out, restarting your computer and starting all over again to log in. Just in case.

However, I can assure you when I click on your user name I get an active account.

Check your spam folder to make sure that the activation e-mail has got through. If you use Outlook Express or Windows mail then also check any online version of your e-mail. That will have a spam folder all of its own that might have the required e-mail there.

If I search and find a post by RayB then click on the name, I get:

Error

* This user is not active



Howver I can send a PM to RayB ... I wonder if it will generate an email alert.

I've tried 2 machines and different browsers on each one. The main one I use was set to always log me in automatically, so it's not like I've mis-typed anything.

The 2 PM's have generated e-mail alerts to my BT account, but the PU Forum does not recognise the login details.

A bit like my constant 1 unread PM - and they are all read - one of these inexplicable things .

THOUGHT - has the hamster been fed recently ? Does his water bottle have enough alcohol in it ?

One option is to start again with a new account.

The second is to make a Report to IT and they will sort out your current account. See the bottom of this page and click Report Problem.

I sent a report into IT who have advised that there was a problem.

All sorted now, though.
