Definitely Art Nouveau !

Most people make a beeline for the mega museums when they visit Paris and often don't realise that there are any number of smaller premises with equally marvellous exhibits. One of these is the Musee Gustave Moreau (look it up - it's worth it). This late 19thC artist made his three floor home into a combined museum, art gallery and workshop - on a huge scale.

I have merely concentrated on the magnificent spiral staircase that takes you from the 1st floor gallery to the 2nd floor workshop/studio.



Its art nouveau style is quite evident ......






...... making some lovely shapes and patterns



And the 'classic' view looking down from the top just has to be captured.



Whereas the major galleries are crowded, you get the smaller ones almost to yourself



I think it's quite plain why I took the pictures!

They dont make them like that anymore.
You have conveyed the staircase in all it's splendor, the last one shows it up nicely.

Fantastic set, love the way the mirror reflection almost carries on the stairs, enlarging it and showing something that you couldn't see without it.
