And both are worth a visit for different reasons but the secular buildings around the Albert Dock and waterfront, as well as all the galleries and museums are brilliant. There's aslo a fascinating old studio and darkroom preserved by the National Trust.
It's my third favourite city after London and Wells!

And don't forget the Royal Liver Building, The Corn Exchange , the Main Train station and the assorted public sculptures.
