Day Out This Sunday?

A few months ago I was asked to be one of the 'official photographers' at the 'Tickhill Grand Prix' which is an exciting professional cycle race event being held around the streets of this quaint South Yorkshire village. As a result of this, I asked AndrewA if he wanted to assist and he too is now one of the official togs on the day.

This will be a great day out, the events go on throughout the afternoon and end with a party and music in the evening. It never occurred to me to make it a 'Pentax meet', but I've had a message from a fellow Pentaxian about this so why not take the opportunity for a get together? So, anyone in striking distance of Tickhill there is an open invitation for you to come along and meet up this Sunday 24th August!

I'll be driving through Tickhill tomorrow, and then back through on Tuesday.. but won't be able to get there on Sunday

It is a bit snobby there Tim (apologies to any Tickhill residents) but it's not quite as bad as Bawtry (apologies to any Bawtry residents).

There must be quite a lot of people reading this who haven't got a clue what I'm on about

What time are you expecting to arrive

We are staying overnight with friends in Tickhill Neil, so we will be at the venue by 12:00 latest I would think. We'll be there all day until the end.

S.Yorks is a fascinatingly variegated county

I like it here Tim, although when myself and Mrs. S. got married we moved to a place called Killamarsh, which is actually just on the Derbyshire side of the South Yorks / Derbyshire Border. It's part of Sheffield, so seems strange to call it Derbyshire. I had to think long and hard about moving here, Yorkshire born and bred so I am.
