Date on *ist DL

This camera has a date memory but there is not mention about the same being possible on the photo. is there any way one can get it on the image to remember the day by. any solutions?

The image file itself contains the date, time, shutter speed, aperture, exposure settings etc etc.

It's contained in the "EXIF" data. Some packages can overlay the date and time onto the JPG image for you. Maybe Irfanview can - it's free.
