Out and about this morning with my KP and SMC Pentax-DAL 50-200mm ED WR.
Took this shot with the intention of making it Monochrome.

But having seen the original version I wasn't so sure:

I can understand your dilemma! I love the monochrome version, however the colours in the original are intriguing. Particularly the colours in the stone wall in the background. I know I would play for hours with various edits but maybe life is too short for that with every image

Thank you for the comments/feedback.

I like the original with green stems and a bit of colour on the background wall ! The flowers nicely standout.

The colour one works best for me.

Thank you both, seems like the colour version is ahead at the moment!
I still like the "pop" of the daisies in the mono but have to admit that i too like the colour version

I can see why you have tried the mono conversion but the flower stems and leaves have suffered for it. This one has to go down the colour route I think. On the other hand, there is a lot to play with in 'levels' and with the contrast but the endless temptation to play has already been commented on above.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
