DA50mm 1.8 focus confirmation

For whatever reason the focus confirmation on this lens has stopped.
I have this set to MF and regardless of the setting, P, tav,, Green Mode. there is no confirmation.
Apart from the issue this appears to be a nice lens .
Yet again the soloution is probably something simple , but the

" put it in green mode solves all " method has failed to remedy.
Can anyone in forum help diagnose the problem.
Body is K7.

Probably the first thing to try is to clean contacts on lens mount and body mount with a soft, dry cloth. It might be that there is poor contact somewhere.

You could also try the lens on another body to see if the problem is with the lens or the body.

Could be you are turning the focus ring to fast for the camera to register that the subject is in focus try slowing down.
