The lenses will have a thin (red on Pentax lenses) rubber/silicon ring where the mount joins the camera body if they are weather resistant. Should say WR in the name as well

The kit lenses that would have been bought at the same time as a Samsung GX10 are not weather resistant. The DA* lenses are weather resistant, as are the newer kit lenses and others that are labelled with the "WR" suffix.

Peter,
The kit lenses were bought three years ago were the Samsung SA with quickshift and hoods, and were identical to the pentax models of the time.
If the SA kit lenses are not weather resistant, when buying again today, are the new WR lenses, worth the extra cost over DA, what is the diferance in terms of weather resistance? Thanks for your help, but i find it still confusing

The lenses have a blue band around if that helps.
Thanks
