DA 70mm 2.4...is it me?!
F50 1.7. SMC-FAs 24, 35, 50 1.4, 85, 135. HD-FA15-30, DFA24-70, D-FA*70-200. The SMC-FA Limited Trinity.
Metz 45 CL-4, AF500FTZ. AF540FGZ.
Some Mamiya and some Nikon, and a Canon T70.
Was the lens 'rubbish' at all apertures or just wide open? I had the same issue with my Nikon Nikkor 50 1.4G and 85 1.8D; using Reikan Focal I couldn't get either right and sent them to Nikon who said there was nothing wrong with them. I've got the 50mm to where I want it but sold the 85 at a loss out of desparation. I have no such issues with any of my Pentax glass.

I am struggling with this lens.....
AF is hit and miss. When it hits it is great...otherwise...
I have attempted to callibrate the lens...shooting one of those targets, tripod mounted, base ISO and wide open at a distance of about a meter. I took shots, in JPEG, at all adjustment levels....I though that I had hit it at -3.
Took the camera out, rubbish!
I suspect that it is my technique. I use spot AF and take some care when selecting a suitable focus point...contrast etc.
Any guidance would be very much appreciated.
All the best
