DA 55-300 versatility

All of the following were taken with this lens. If anyone is undecided about whether to buy I hope this helps sway you.... Do it, it is a great lens and not too expensive either especially the DAL version.

Great, varied set Steve!

And thanks for extolling the virtues of this lens.
Take it from one who knows : If finances are tight, this is the lens for YOU!
(Plus the 100 D FA macro!)

Agreed it is a very versatile lens. For example you would not normally think to take landscapes with a lens of this length, but in fact I have taken some of my favorite landscape shots with it. I find that from high vantage points, picking out a smaller section of landscape with a longer lens can sometimes make a far more interesting image than a wider shot.

Very nice set, I like the Reed Warbler shots - very good. However the clear winner is #10, butterfly isolated, composition & colour, lovely !

I've got the DAL, I find it fantastic for walking around cities picking out bits of architecture, (and its very light)
