DA 35 f2.4 AL

Arrived this week and i can't keep my hands of it,my uWinka lens hood arrived also ,seems to work up till now,so impressed ,i've had fast lenses before ...Tamron 17-50 f2.8,Sigma 24-70 f2.8 the 35 blows them away ,talk about value for money .

Anyone else as impressed with this little beut . Please no Ltd lens comparisons please . No offence intended .

It's a splendid lens, well made, inexpensive and superb quality.

I'm surprised at how well it's put together ,the manual focus ring's nicely weighted ,really not what i was expecting . I actually might regret purchasing this lens as i've started looking at the Ltd lenses (just looking you understand)

Hi, I bought a DA35 after reading some reviews and also coming to the conclusion that an FA50 was a bit to expensive for me.
I have a KX with 18-55 and 55-300 kit lenses, but love portrait pics with very narrow depth of field. I bought of ebay a Pentax A F1.7 50mm last year and really love that. In fact it was my fav walk around lens. I get better results setting the lens up as 75mm and not 50mm on the KX (crop factor I suppose). But I do miss the auto focus for a quick shot.
The DA 35 is fantastic, even when wide open its really sharp with minimal CA. And at F4 its supreme. I may need to find another home for the F1.7 50mm soon, as its been in the lens draw ever since.
