I was asked by the organisers of Cartmel Show if I could take a few photos for them. This is the second year I've been photographer at the show, last year I used my 16-45mm and DA* 60-250mm but this year I decided to try out my new 18-135mm.

I was glad I did it's a perfect lens for this sort of event, really useful FL range, fast and quiet focussing and the WR came in handy.
This will be my go-to lens for any outdoor events from now on.

I still can't believe how photozone gave this lens should a bad review.

You have some great photos there - and I can see the WR properties were certainly needed

Excellent photos from an excellent lens. A slower aperture around 35mm (F4.5) than I'd like but I have one of the lightweight 35mm AL F2.4's in my bag for that. I've found a little vignetting mid range in high contrast skies, easily fixed. Quiet, quick and very nice to handle.

When does the (one on the roadmap?)135 to 400 WR DC DA come out to go with it??? Soon i hope.

I am of the same opinion of this lens it never ceases to impress me optically

and despite having just about all the DA*s I still pull out the 18 -135 if I am on a " one lens" day. It is the best Pentax buy I have made for many years.
