I haven't posted in a while as I've been very busy but I feel compelled to share my excitement at just having ordered a DA* 50-135 from SRS via ebay - ex demo with full 2 year warranty for £649! It will be the perfect partner for my Tamron 17-50.

Better yet there is still another one left at the same price so I'm posting the details in the Leads to Deals forum.

Enjoy Mark.

My honest reactions after my first shoot with mine.

1] The most boring focal range, but ...

2] ... there's no zoom to beat it at those ranges.

3] AF is slow due to SDM motor, but is quiet.

Absolutely stunning quality zoom and having a through 2.8

It could only be bettered by being a DA* 30-135 and having a speedy AF.

You'll love it.

The beast has arrived! So far I've only had a change to take a few snapshots of the cat. I won't really get the chance to give it a proper workout until the weekend. But it's a lovely lens to handle and the build quality seems exceptional. Can't wait to take it out and put it through its paces!
