DA* 16-50 SDM motor repair?

Where would you recommend for changing SDM motor on a Pentax 16 to 50 lens?

I would suggest J Pye the official Pentax UK service agents would give you a quote

But the most popular fix for this problem is to convert the lens to screwdrive.

No, but there are a few threads on the PentaxForums site about it including instructions how to do it yourself. It is a firmware hack. Perhaps ask if someone in the UK has done it and would do yours for a fee if you don't fancy the hack yourself.

There was a US guy that was doing it for $30
