I've always wanted to create miniature like images without using effects on photoshop so i made my own tilt shift lens!

materials used
- 50mm manual lens
-inner tubing
-a pentax bayonet body cap
-a metal fastener
-a plastic ring thingy approximately same diameter as the body cap (got this from a pluming store)
-some superglue

mix all of of the above and u get this

ill see what i can do. didn't really take any 'before' pictures. i just made it on the spur of the moment!

for the guys interested in making their own. you have to remove the bayonet mount of the manual lens
to allow the lens to move around (tilt & shift) and get images in focus.

Hi, GREAT!
Could you post more pictures of your fabulous "stroke of genius", please? Could you explain what you did step by step, please?

Is the lens fixed to f/1.8 aperture, and set to infinity and you focus with by physically moving the whole lens?

And how did you bond to the K-mount body cover?

Might reuse an aged 50mm f/2 M42 Pentax lens....

Thanks!

This is fantastic. As people have said, the ingenuity is just pure brilliance matched equally by the quality of the shots. Very well done to you!
