Lens used was Da 300 +Pentax 1.7 converter, didn't want to get to close and scare them off.

Very nice shots. What are the camera settings and mode did you use?

Thanks Roshni, settings were on AV for both, and f6.7, iso 100,@ 1/180 for the close up and without the converter the other was f5.6, iso 100, @1/180 , flash was fired for both, using the 1.7 converter means some manual adjustment to the lens is required before auto focus can work.

That's a great close in portrait, with beautiful OOF background. The flash and ambient exposures are perfectly matched, lifting the subject with a little 'kick' of light.
