Very handsome Brian (the Gibson, not you ).
I'll have to sort out a pic of my bass for you - fretless, birds-eye maple neck, wenge body, bubinga fretboard, handmade. By me (I studied guitar making full-time for four years after leaving school - turned out I wasn't good enough to do it for a living though. Did meet the Mrs. there though, so something good came out of it).
Your 'product' shot looks nice - good textures in it, colours look natural. I'm starting to get jealous of all of you with K10Ds.
By the way Brian, how often do you wear that stuff?
Dan

I once built a copy of a Gretch from old bits of timber and plywood that were laying around in my uncles shed, it had variouse thicknesses of elastic bands as strings, mind you I was only 10 at the time. I can see this being a bit about one upmanship Dan, will have to arrange a pic surrounded with all Richard's (step son who makes me feel inadequate) an my 10 instuments

I failed to mention that as I was a bit strapped for cash, all the hardware was stripped from a Westone bass that was knocking about.
10 instruments eh? I feel a ram-raiding trip to the guitar shop is in order.
Anyway, if we're talking one-upmanship, who's flaunting pics from their shiny new K10D, while some of us are stuck with their old istD's...

Taken with the old *istD, 1/2s f/5.6 at 24.0mm iso400.
This one is me messing about with the K10D, hand held AF-360FGZ, remote trigger and using a Sunpak 888AFZ as the trigger.
1/20s f/20.0 at 31.0mm iso100, the dynamic range in raw is absolutely huge, around +/-5 stops til the image becomes unusable.
As always, comment good or bad are welcome.
Brian.
