Cosina 100mm F3.5 Macro - sample images

I've had this lens for a while now (it was a cheapo Ebay purchase) so thought I'd post a couple of examples to show what it's like incase anyone else is interested in one (or it's other incarnations including with a Pentax badge) as an entry level macro:



Pentax K10D, 1/[email protected], handheld, no flash, SR enabled.

Even wide open the lens seems quite sharp.

I'm glad you like the lens because i've just purchased one on ebay as well and i am looking forward to using it. Is the autofocus as noisy as the reviews say it is ?

In a word - yes! It's quite brutal but I've found it reasonably fast and accurate except when the 1:1 adaptor is fitted in which case in some lighting conditions the AF can hunt a bit (I tend to MF with the 1:1 adaptor).

And you can clearly see that great creamy bokeh the 8 aperture blades help create.
