Copying colour negatives

Hi,

At last I've got an M series bellows unit and slide holder. I want to copy some colour negative films using my K200D. Is there a function or plug-in available for/in Photoshop Elements 6 which can convert the negative image to a colour positive?

Just Image / Adjustment / Negative (IIRC!)
Normally Ctrl-I (Cmd+I)

Thanks, I can't find it in the "Image" menu of Elements 6 but if I "Ctrl I" it does the job, thanks a lot.

You could always get a Negative scanner. I had a great one a few years back. It was a Canon transparency scanner that I sadly had to sell to pay a large bill off...

I really didnt want to sell it...

If you can still get hold of one they are superb!

I have a Canoscan - complete with negative holder and slide holder. Great performer - put in a strip of 6 and it brings up 6 individual images, has a fast preview mode available before the slow hi density scan.

Probably better quality than can be achieved by photographing the negatives.

A huge difference to photographing negs! I use a Minolta ScanDual but to get the best out of it I use Gepe glass mounts and do a neg or slide at a time. Its the only way to keep the whole image flat.

I've been using my Canon 8400F for scanning negatives in the past but I thought that by coping them using a bellows unit and my K200D that I would get a better quality than the scanner gives, now you tell me otherwise.

I shall have to do some reading on on the subject
