Sadly none of them work for me.

Common to all I find the copper neither warm enough nor 'solid' enough it seems a bit thin as a colour.

Number 1 - I find the composition a bit odd and I don't like the grey bottom middle with what looks like a dust spot. I think one reason I'm not positive is that I can see the background thing has been cropped as it rises to its apex and that doesn't look right to me.

Number 2 - Why did you include the two buttons on the left? What do they do apart from disrupt things which might have been their role. I don't feel the two shapes work in harmony and the background colour is very pallid.

Number 3 - same sort of comment but added to that the top right must be verging on being burnt out. Anyway it is way too light to be there.

I suspect you're on a hiding to nothing trying to get a good composition from these cushions in their context. What is their strong point? Shape? Colour? Texture?

Oh well bad luck for you I just ended my working day and your post caught my eye! You can tell I wouldn't tackle this subject and that's why I have no suggestions

Thanks for the comments Mike, I'll certainly take on board your thoughts

Strong points, I think form and texture and I actually rather like the colour tones

Here is the subject

Unfortunately I think Mike makes a lot of valid points, and I'm sure I couldn't do any better. They're too shiny to start with! And i can't think of any interesting way to display just two of them unless you went for a 'solids on a plane' mathematics-inspired shot (couple of my recent attempts here and here)

What are they by the way?

Edit: crossed posts, I can see what they are now

Hi Tim, I guess you would call them miniature ornamental cow bells
They certainly make that type of sound.
