Connecting camera to Telescope

Yep, you are on the right tracks, sort of.
The T ring adapter fits to your camera. The eyepiece tube screws into that and slots into the eyepiece holder on the scope and you can put different eyepieces into it, if required. YOu can also use it without eyepieces so the scope basically becomes your lens.
It is unlikely you'll be able to use it for any terrestrial ( wildlife )shots. The closest I could focus my telescope was on a block of flats about a mile or two away.
Let's face it, they are designed to focus on things millions of miles away

Thanks for that. So the T-mount fits directly onto the eyepiece? The T-mount will have a screw thread and this is used to fit the eyepiece to?? mmmmm, I think I've got this wrong, no?

Nope, the T mount fits the camera. The screw thread takes the tube which slots into the eyepiece.

I've read some previous forum subjects on astrophotography and how to couple your camera to the telescope but I am not quite sure how this is done. I know you need a T-mount and/or an adaptor but I'm really not sure what I need. I have a mental image of camera + T-mount + eyepiece adaptor + eyepiece attached to telescope. Can some knowledgeable person confirm that this is the correct setup before I start buying? Do I need a bracket to couple camera and telescope to take the weight of the camera off the eyepiece?
Treat me as a total ignoramus on this one! Thanks for your help!
