Good to hear ... Glad that the others were open minded enough to look at the camera itself and the photo output and see the quality for what it is. Lets hope they go and spread the word, or better still, look to Pentax when they next need to upgrade.

when i say to people look at pentax they go naw but when they get hold of mine with the grip on they think god its light compare to mine

When they pick up mine they don't say it's light, they comment on how solid and well made it feels - Oh and how comfortable it is to hold.

I just got a K5 and I was amazed at the near silent operation in contrast to my older *ist DS. The hair-trigger shutter release was a shock too!

I attended a Portrait Workshop in Bristol at the weekend. As it happened there were only three participants, two Canon users and me with my K5.
There was no particular discussion of brands or equipment, we all just got on with the picture taking. However, during the afternoon session indoors using window light, one person commented on how quiet the K5 shutter was and then everyone admired the skin tones it produced (which I think is a particular strength).
Quite made my day.
